Ima be honest here and this is within my own opinions so please, be respectful about it, and sorry if you're offended. Compared to other manga I've seen, this one is not as bad neglect-wise. Either it's just progressing too quickly or it really isn't as bad as others. Ima go ahead and point out that Duke Colin's action of adopting without the girl even knowing is uncalled for and quite frankly disrespectful. (Here is where ppl might have a problem) When it comes to the Grandfather and Dad, I do not see them entirely as shitty people, mainly the dad because like- No you shouldn't neglect a child, especially someone that's supposed to be YOUR child regardless of the situation context or whatever. But at the same time, this man has most likely grown up feeling no sort of love and yes, it's very obvious he does not know how to express love and affection properly as a dad should, and yes it is in fact an issue. BUT ppl are expecting him to just magically be able to properly express affection to a child when he has no prior understanding of how to show affection. This is what we call character development where over time he changes into someone who's satisfactory to us, the readers/ audience. I'm not at all saying that his behavior is right but it's not entirely inaccurate considering how people who grow up without being shown affection generally behave though it still varies from person to person and the grandfather is quite frankly the same. Especially in this recent chapter, he completely struggled with showing affection and worry towards her. Should he have said it better? yes obviously but still. I'm not trying to justify their actions and behavior but some of yall can stop calling them "bad people" When they're simply people who are having trouble showing sympathy, affection, ect. To be honest, compared to other fathers in manga they're decent at best right now and they're still having character development

No I fully agree with you! I also feel like as we get to know the other characters more now after the transmigration, while yes they did possibly do some shitty things, there was probably also miscommunication on both sides that lead to problems that just spiraled.

You made a convincing argument and point out things and people can change! Not to mention, she got reborn as a child so events that may have also warped people's opinions or minds about each other have not happened yet too!

Yes! But iirc ayrin is not his daughter biologically. Her parents are unknown rn but probably dead. They did say she was an orphan, illegitimate child of a collateral family but has a strong blood of the family (most likely the eyes!) So it's not actually his responsibility to care for her, but since he's the heir to family I'm guessing it's his responsibility in the future to take care of all descendants. The grandfather on the other hand actually did take care of her but not maternally nor caringly, just the basic necessities etc. So I agree they're not THAT bad.

Right. There were a bunch of miscommunication issues from when she ran away to the point now. Some of them were resolved and we don't even entirely know the dad or grandfather's background at all so we have an opportunity to see them change and understand them better.

Exactly, he didn't have to step up to adopt her or take care of her at all, and comparing that to other manga and other possibilities that entire scenario could've happened entirely differently better or worse. Even if it was out of genuine curiosity and interest, he's still properly taking care of her and her physical needs (like food, clothes, room, etc), and by how things are progressing will take care of her mental needs as well in the future when he starts to learn and understand how to properly do so.
