I prefer https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/kill_the_lights/ and the novel it was adapted from. I don't really hear this work rec'd a lot but I really enjoyed it. Although the ML was possessive af he actually had a good reason to be that way, and also good reason why he cared so much for the MC. There wasn't any insta-love, and although the person who died that MC reincarnated into was a total slut, his story was also redeemed to some extent by the way his toxic family treated him. And even though MC could have totally wasted his antagonists in various situations by fighting physically or just offing them like in his previous life, the way he struggled to control his temper was pretty believable, and the way he didn't really want to act at all but was willing to do it for the huge paychecks (relative to his difficult and thankless job as a mercenary in his previous life) was also believable. The plot was well constructed, and I think the webtoon adapted the novel quite well. Not like some censored manhuas that ruin perfectly good smut danmei smh (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Yes I've read this manhwa too and the plot is kinda my cup of tea, undeniably it's quite good imo(~￣³￣)~ glad i found someone else enjoy it as much as i do
