Probably because that’s what these authors considers attractive in men. If you pay attention the males always flung the mc during in all these types of stories have the same personality, arrogant, cocky, and rude, which is how most women see men. So the authors probably just find confort in writing stories with sensitive shy ml’s since you don’t come across men like that in real life often.

I just don't understand something. Why do authors always portray the children like that these days
