I've read 500-nen No Itonami. Are all of the author's works tearjerkers? I don't mind stories with sad elements, but that one just was a bit too much for me. I'm scared of trying her other works.

I think they all end happily, even if there are some tragic parts of the story. And although I say happy ending, they are slightly open ended. Yes, the couples happily end up together, but we don't really get to see them fulfill that happiness. I still think they're worth reading.
