After reading the spoilers in this thread, I am definitely dropping this. Thank you so much for the warning. The 2nd ML didn't deserve to die the way he did.
May I know who attacked his kingdom? Was it Qiyu that did it? And Qiyu's mistress that framed Song Liqing, I hope he got the same punishment as Song Liqing?
I am also wondering why Qiyu's parents never sat him down to tell him about their own story. Maybe that could have taught him to be kinder to those he loved.
As for the author, I have no words for them. You would think that after what they did with the first story, they would do better with the second story. This is what happens when keep enabling sadistic semes and tolerating their stupid attitudes all because they are handsome. I already started the novel but I haven't even finished the first chapter yet. I'm dropping both the novel and the manhwa as of this moment.
I still can't believe that Song Liqing left his husband to die and followed Qiyu back to his country. Gosh! The second male lead died alone. I'm crying so much just thinking about it. My goodness! I wish I never even started this story.

Ugh uke is dumb for following after the seme. That 2nd ML was fine (from what I hear some people are saying) more so than the ML. It’s annoying how good ukes always end with trashy ass ML. Poor 2nd ML.
Oh wow... Now they cut some scenes to make us less hate on this bastard Qiyu. Actually Pei Xingxu saw how Qiyu has treated Song Liqing. He was cruel to him, humiliate him infront of ppl and intimate with his mistress in front of Liqing. Since Xingxu loved Liqing very deeply, he just can't stand how his loved one has been treated like a rubbish. So he proposed to king.
Qiyu got angry and go to his mistress. Mistress said "maybe" they were in relationship since he saw them few times together. Qiyu trust his mistress and accuse him on adultery wtf. He was angry and beat Liqing up r@ped him mercilessly. Liqing didn't wake on the next morning. His bed was drench with blood. When he r@ped him, the blood flows out non-stop since he had blood disease. If they got injury the wound is hard to heal (in modern era we might called it Leukemia).
Qiyu called the docs include liqing friends. He was shocked and angry like hell to see liqing wounds. He explained to Qiyu about liqing conditions. He's mocking back and said "it's not like he could die from sex" fcccckkk i curse him like hell dude! The worst seme i could see
Next, Xingxu will come and rescue. He gave his elixir to qiyu. It was given by his dad so he can extend life about 18years (if i'm not mistaken, 1 pill could extend 6years). He gave liqing all. He loved liqing so much.
While liqing was battling with life and dead, Qiyu went to see his mistress to reduce his stress. Liqing literally dying and die if xingxu didn't give him the pill. When all ppl busy to revive liqing who was dying, Qiyu was enjoyed sxx with his mistress. Xingxu saw them with disgust.
Next morning, after Qiyu satisfied and no stress he come and check liqing. Liqing woke up from nightmare and hugs him. He thought Qiyu stays with him all night. Xingxu bitterly smile knowing Qiyu never worried and even go to slept with his mistress. Even so, he doesn't speak anything. As long liqing is healthy again, he couldn't ask more.
This entire novel will show how pure, kind and devoted pei xingxu Vs how worst Qiyu. But the ending was so tragedic to pei xingxu who literally done nothing wrong. While Qiyu and liqing are happy together. If author want Qiyu to be the end game, why put pei xingxu as an angel and killed him mercilessly??? While the scum got happy ending?
I will keep going to spill every thing since I don't want they make qiyu understandable with the scene cut.
