i know this comment is old but do u still have the raws and do u mind sending them? i was thinking abt cleaning them and finding a translator if thats allowed. (completely new to scanlating so idk the etiquette or rules around it :// )

There's not exactly rules (since it's illegal lmao) but there is internet etiquette surrounding it... basically it's rude to scanlate something someone else is scanlating is the main one and it used to be that once something got licensed in English people would usually stop scanlating, but most people ignore that now seeing with how many licensed webtoons are screenshotted and uploaded

ah cool cool. what abt etiquette concerning raw providers? like i usually get them for yaoi otaku but idk if im allowed to use those raws for translating or if they have rules abt that (im shit at navigating forums so idek where i could find that info on the website :/ )

I don't really know about yaoi otaku specifically.. I rarely used their forums except years ago to check for a few titles. I think raw uploaders would probably say "ask before translating" or "do not translate" if they wanted some sort of contact, but if they don't it's probably chill? But to be sure you could always send them a message before you tried translating, I don't think it would hurt anything.
On myreadingmanga I think people just kinda download without messaging anyone because usually there's no one to message for the raw files, and I think here on mangago if there are raws uploaded it's either fair game or someone's already translating it.
Official manga/webtoon/comic distribution sites (both English and jpn/kr/chn) I think always say it's against the rules and illegal to reload/reproduce/translate/etc but people do it anyways, it's often harder though because you have to work around their anti-download and anti-screenshot coding
