if you read the same cookie cutter plot from the same genre, any genre will be boring

I also get bored from time to time, but at those times, I just read something out if pocket to remind myself that there is a whole side of BL that I haven't read yet. Try any BL with cannibalism, there is a good chance that you won't be complaining about BL being repetitive lol (unless you're into that kind of stuff)

recommending those is wild , and yep try varying tags and genres to vary things a bit. I find psychological or horror tags brings something new

They said they wanted something different, so... And yeah, those are pretty good, too. I LOVE horror sm, but I haven't read too many BLs in that genre lol

I mean it depends on what type of yaoi you are reading. For me I am not a huge fluffy yaoi fan so its always something dark or fucked up or something with at least a bit of angst. Then if I feel that ah i wanna read some fluff then i start reading that. So uh best thing to do is try to read something which is probably not what you usually read. Also shonen ais have some really good and varying plot rather than yaoi. But yeah as some person suggested some bl with cannibalism and those suggestions are great as someone who has already them lol. It's something different and you might wanna try it.
