He didn’t actually get her heart. His heart just started beating again “because friendship” is what the mom said. And MC liked Phillip before everything happened so his crush is just coming back.
.....................so thats what i thought too, until i went and re-read this chp again, for some reason he was in a 13hr surgery and when he woke from it that is when he was given the news of her death.. his mom says (this is where it wz fuckery for me) "in Jennies will she stated that her heart was to go to you, and in the middle of surgery your heart stopped and miraculously started again....so dont say you hould have died with her because maybe your heary started to beat again cause she gave you her heart"
im guessing, the moment Jennie died, is when his surgery went awry..they were so connected as friends..he felt it too. Jest Sayn, i could be wrong </3
They were talking about the surgery before being the only option he had to live a normal life but it being very risky. And yes, I think theyre leaning into their connection being why his heart restarted, since the last thing she wrote was for him to have her heart.

Yeah, while I can understand MC's neglect to Jennie but she has depression and as a long time friend, he knows how she is, I wish he could at least stay by her side at that party case. At least, things don't go so down. of course, this is how the plot made but still poor girl
So MC has the girl's heart whoose like ML. Which means MC likes ML bec of the heart? (I know it's impossible scientifically but) there is this Thai BL series where MC receives the heart that loves ML and when he met him his heart beats for him. So same here? Possible plot? Or MC likes MP from the start? Cuz I feel like he doesn't really like ML in America.....only a crush. (Random bubbling)
