Omg in chapter 32 Rize pisses me off. She already knows Killeon is thinking more about Edith and not really about her so Rize tries to make it seem like she’s in control by being like “I want you to be kind to Edith and spend time with her like you are to me” like bro he already is. He’s not “doing it as a favor” to you.

Yoo, I actually didn't even notice that she meant it like that as in "a favor for her" woah, so this is why they were both looking at her weirdly like that? Even Cliff was just there all Pikachu like.

I’m glad that there are people who share this perspective! I definitely could have been reading into it too much. I don’t understand Korean or the semantics of the language so I can’t read the original to know for sure that the translation is accurately portraying what was intended by the original writer. But based off the word choice in this English translation as well as the details in the artwork (facial expressions, color choice for background, etc.), it definitely felt like Rize felt threatened by Killeon’s attention drifting towards Edith. And I think she realized that even Clifton was seeing it too so she had to quickly replant this idea in their heads that she’s this altruistic being who WANTS to share Killeons attention. And they eat it up because in Killeon’s head, he believes it’s wrong of him to like and care for Edith, so having the permission of arise, the person he’s cared for all this time, telling him it’s okay makes him feel like he has a justifiable excuse to care for Edith without seeming weird or out of character. And Clifton is so wrapped around her finger already that he isn’t anywhere close to suspecting something is off with Rize, so he just sees this as her being kind and will believe that Killeon’s future actions are due to Rize’s words.
