After the emperor's speech, I couldn't understand why he hasn't just assassinated the Empress. Why allow her to continue killing off his family, and gain power, that didn't really make sense to me.
The empress was tortured using the VERY SAME MEDICATION THAT SHE FORCED GIVE TO OUR MC. She beg to just die quickly.
We all know that a SLOW DEATH is MERCILESS THAN QUICK DEATH.
