Ok, after thinking a while I think it's like this: for the game to reset those 2 who gained consciousness must die, so if player 2 dies and player 1 manages to escape/complete the game, player 2 escapes/completes the game as well. Because in order for the game to actually reset, it requires those 2 to die, also it would be very absurd if player 1 escapes and the player 2 is just left behind.
I agree logically it should work that way unless author wants to change things up to traumatis us lol

Hmm now that Nam Doha also remembers everything that happens in the game I wonder if the game resets with his death too or only when Bada dies. Like in ch 10 Bada dies and we are brought back to the beginning so did it happen when Bada died or when Doha got killed.
