The person I'm with is 9 years older than I am, but I wholeheartedly agree with this. Many just want younger and naive ones so they can play a bit and toss them aside. And a relationship with a huge gap can be extremely challenging sometimes

honestly, it really really depends-- My parents have a huge age gap and they don't have the aforementioned power imbalance so this dynamic definitely can work irl—

and its really not good to have older partner especially when you're unemployed, financially unstable and a young adult who's still Soldifying yourself as a functioning member of society
this was cute or whatsoever but let me this old hag tell you someting DO NOT romanticize huge age gap relationships. IRL stuff is nothing like fiction. coming from experience stick with 3-5 year rule or find someone at your age.
