well just read the last update & i can tell u, there is no real growth (on the issues u mentioned). the MC can't seem to open her mouth & is as fragile & secretive about her past as she was at the start. she doesn't show any signs of opening up to anyone.
& even though Riftan (the ML) isn't a talkative one either, i have a feeling he knew how she was treated & cause of that, treats her like she is fragile - this is very frustrating & the plot is very slow (almost no real development) am still reading this but am close to give up.
ML somewhat knows Maxi's past.
I could agree that they are dragging the story. No real growth, yez.
Don't listen to some of these guys, especially about the one about reading up to the latest. MC transforms dramatically this meek nobody, to a strong person, but with old tempered with old anxieties, but boy does she get assertive.
ML continues to love her obsessively, despite some traumatic stuff she does to him.
the MC is strong?!? then our definition's drastically, differ - about what "strong" is. cause she aint strong in the least.
standing up to a boy (who isn't her equal) who is looking out for her, is strength?!? not in my books.
if anything she's like the typical female character, who acts strong with weaker character's (whether they be beneath her in statues or ones that love her like the ML).
how many chances she's had until now to explain about her past? to tell him about her phobia's etc?! & has she ever opened her mouth?
when she show Riftan that she's strong enough to handle a serious conversation? & her putting her foot down to learn magic, isn't it - considering how she went about it.
sorry but she's annoying and tiresome & as weak now, as she was at the start. if she has made any progress it's miniscule IMHO.
there’s still ways to go from my understanding but maxi has started to speak up for herself and work on her stuttering. she still struggles to tell riftan the truth
You should really read it. This is quite a realistic slow burn if you ask me. It'll take a while for things to change drastically.
Maxi is afraid to open up because every time her husband talks about her she feels like he's putting her on a pedestal and she's afraid he'll be disappointed if he finds out the truth. She may come off as reckless and desperate now but trust me she changes and you'll love it.
Riftan loved her ever since he was a boy but he could only ever watch her from a distance. Now that he is married to her he wants to give her the world and do everything to keep her safe.
If it's Agnes you're worried about, don't be. Agnes is actually supportive of Maxi learning magic and even tells off Riftan for being overprotective of her.
Except Maxi's abusive father there is no character you can actually hate in this story.

yeah - just the manga - btw u can spoil it for me, i don't mind spoilers. but as this a public forum don't wanna spoil it for others. so will wait for the manga to get updated (if i don't give-up) (≧∀≦)
Can someone spoil me?? I dropped this for how many months and hesitant to read it because the MC show offed as weak and the ML doesn't know her past
I wanna know how far the ml will understand why the mc acted as a weak lady and will the mc be able to show significant growth??
