FINALLY SOMONE WITH COMMON SENSE. I've been saying this for soo long ppl love to romanticize toxicity but really don't stop and think how it would feel to be Adrianne in this situation. He is a rude murderer who will NEVER out anyone else above himself. If he has to choose between Adrianne and self-benefit he will chose himself again and again. Just because he didn't kill Adrianne in this life does not mean he's still not the same exact character that's capable of doing it again. It's still the same guy. All of Cesares fan girls fail to realize that if they were in Adrienne's position they would be treated as a disposable doll for him.
I can see why some people aren't interested in Alfonso. I mean personally I love people who are kind and intelligent, but I will admit that Alfonso isn't offering a new type of character that we have t seen in other manhwa. Just because u don't really like Alfonso doesn't mean that Cesare is the right answer. Adrianne can just be by herself and focus on her revenge.

I'VE BEEN DEFENDING ALPHONSO FOR WEEKSSSSSSS. Everytime I read the comments they make my blood boil cuz HOW are people picking cesare over the man that actually CARES for ariadne??? I really do not gaf if he has a crush on her now, he was a power hungry abuser in her last life. As soon as he gets some sort of power by being with her, it's OVER. Some people are so desensitized to having a toxic ml that they really hate THE GUY THAT TRAVELLED FOR DAYS TO SEE THE GIRL HE LIKES. Y'know, the GUY THAT LIKES THE MC. But when he makes her ruin the little positive social status she has to defend him, makes her cut off her own finger, and fat shames her and compares her to a literal COW? Yeah we'll take that???
People literally ignoring that cesare IN PRESENT TIMELINE also admited (in inner monologue) to wanting Ari so he could steal something Alfonso wanted. He doesn't really like Ari. He might have a bit of a crush but in the end what's important to him is his greed and rivalry with Alfonso

I say fuq em’ both and give us someone new. You saying the ML is a green flag but a real green flag would find a way to put his woman first and break his so-called engagement. If he didn’t think she was the one who had died he would still be keeping his distance and only sending letters. To me he’s not doing as much as he should if it’s not because of jealousy of his brother getting his girl or something else he would not be pushing out. I think he needs to step up more or just give us a new ML.
It honestly baffles me how good of a ML Alfonso is yet the abusive cowardly Cesare gets more fan girls. The only great thing about Cesare is his pretty face, he's proved countless times that he's a incapable fool who is only interested in ruining his brother's life. I agree that Ariadne doesn't deserve Alfonso with everything's she's done and going to do but the fans aren't treating him any better. Acknowledge how kind and reassuring he is with Ari, we rarely get green-flagged MLs and seeing the reaction of the fans, I suddenly see why. Go read one of many abusive toxic manhwas if you want Cesare so badly to become ML, let us enjoy someone who actually considers his lover's feelings and enables growth and recovery in his partners.
Sorry if I come off as rude, I'm just tired of hearing the same "I prefer Cesare, Alfonso isn't that attractive.. he's kinda boring" comment every bloody chapter.
