i thought the selling point of the villainess concept was how its supposed to contrast with the usual "kind airheaded female lead who doesnt realize her charm but makes everyone fall for her in three seconds with a single act of kindness" trope its funny how this ended up being the exact same lmao

This is why it's unique and pretty different from most villainess manga, and I've read a lot.

This one is actually one the oldest. If I'm not wrong it's been around since 2014-2015 but was one of the series that launched the trend of isekaid nobles girls with guillotine above their head, with other ones (the abbadoned empress, etc) The whole "isekaid villainess" being a genius and badass with force pity common starting plot point trended later in response to the rising of isekaid as a villainess + I got betrayed and framed unfairly trope + my sister or fake airhead mc stole my fiancé trend. That slowly molded the now inflation of the trope. When this came out, there was a balanced amount of villainess turn airhead mc (there's an over saturated amount of them in jp, chinese, Korean light/webnovels like LOTS of them both in the straight romance and BL) and mc being inventors and fighting back the injustice they faced.
