A lot of ppl are explaining why this arc's "slowburn" is good. But may I offer my 2 cents. I LOVE slowburn, plot priority > imo most of the time. But THIS? At first this arc was great, but it REALLY started to drag, not because they weren't developing romantically, but because every chapter started to feel the same. Grieving and remembering the same thing over and OVER, I felt like I was watching Naruto Shippuden War Arc filler with the same backstory for the 939585th time. The way it was handled imo wasn't done that well. I'll argue that the push and pull of grieving done in Ways of Parting was done VERY well, because even though our MC is constantly grieving, the scene is constantly changing and other things are happening in his life too. This arc feels like a stand still like time stopped, nothing is REALLY happening. And just in case someone comes for me, this is criticism, not hate. I like this story a LOT but i HAD to say something fr fr
