I believe that their intention. Many to turn Cain into an evil being.
Personally, they can decide to manipulate the story as much as they want by making Cain the evil guy of the story to reach the ending they've been wanting (meaning Jooin and Yahwi together), but I'll still respect and admire the character Cain.
I wish the author would tell us now if she'll throw cain to the side so i don't have to waste my time reading this sh!t just to see cain constantly keep getting hurt
