Agreed honestly the thing that bothered me the most was the very unnecessary jooha fetish torture scenes. They were just fucked up and gross. Also like you said dooshiks character just completely changed. It wasn’t like character development or anything his character just completely changed out of no where. Both of their characters actually. They both just became very stereotypical
Yes exactly! Jooha experiencing trauma doesn’t have to be explicitly shown (multiple times) for us to understand his pain. even just alluding to his abuse would’ve been universally understood like context clues, but the scenes lasted way too long to be just that and it was not at all easily digestible. I guess Dooshiks change (physical appearance and personality) was way more drastic than jooha’s to me but now that you mention it jooha’s character was changed a lot too wow I really wonder what this story could’ve been…
I feel like the author might’ve had a different story in mind when they started this. It’s been a couple months since I’ve read but I remember halfway thru I started re-reading while waiting for new updates and wow. There’s a lot of repetition with the back and forth in their relationship (breaking up, running away etc.) I got kinda depressed while reading and seeing jooha go through so so much (unnecessary mind you) pain I also feel like dooshik’s character was meant to play out differently if you compare from the beginning. Anyways now that this has ended I might catch up even though Ik I’ll be hurt over and over again
