it really does, but then I just get my hopes up wishing it was a BL--because fuck it all if a BL could be more than
1: constant drama
2: sheer stupidity on the love-struck/doe-eyed crap
or 3: smut for the sake of smut
sorry for bringing it up if it's not your taste but-- WHY ARE GOOD BL STORIES SO HARD TO FIND?!
on a non-BL subject, the more i read the more i think romance & revenge are getting overused as plot keys for any genre. it feels like i can determine how interesting a story has the potential to be halfway through the 1st chapter for most stories now & it's kind of depressing at this stage. the really "good" stories feel like finding a needle in a haystack (for lack of a better metaphor)
i get you. i lose complete interest in any BL series the second it starts turning rape-y. & the frequency of those* BL stories are the ******* HIGHEST. WHY DO THEY ALWAYS THINK *IT* CAN BE JUSTIFIED!!! HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE FOR ANY LOVE/ROMANCE-Y SHIT TO HAPPEN AFTER THAT!! IT'S JUST AN EXCUSE FOR THE AUTHOR TO WRITE PORN for fucks sake. but i can't stop hoping for a non-rapey BL fantasy romance to show up...with a well-developed plot...and good art style...and be fucking perfect. but sadly they are a rarity. it'd be better if i could just be satisfied with bromance.
I do know 1 good [non-BL] Fantasy Romance story (consistent characters, logic applies, low drama, high comedy, some action, no tragedy endings). It's called "Bring the Love," & it's a stupid name, but it works.
have you read "the Tax Reaper" it's a No-romance story so far. i thought it was kinda dumb at 1st cuz it compares confrontation to fantasy-type warfare, but i actually got sucked into the story & went through all 72 chapters today.
That white hair girl is not the female lead right, please stop with the romance
