I hate to be THAT person but the novels way better. In the book Inseop may be a victim of Wooyeon, but he’s a completely willing victim lol The manhwa is just not doing a good job of getting into their head, etc- especially Peter’s character. That’s what sets this story apart from all the other “toxic seme” sh*t: Inseop is crazy too- he’s an obsessed stalker- he’s the instigator in many of their interactions/dynamics and fully embraces Philip’s crazy. And for his side, Wooyeon embraces Inseop’s. This isn’t one dude doing something to another, it’s two unhinged mofo’s coming together in a toxic relationship and being happy about it lol Inseop’s reactions make sense because that’s how unhinged his obsession with Philip is.
Like I know people, in real life/more than one, who would purposely cheat/instigate their bf/husband into beating them up in jealousy and then be beaming because “look how much he loves me!”. It’s not healthy, I don’t condone it, everyone needs therapy, but there are people like that out in the world.
