Pessimistic

Pessimistic everywhere, you guys give up on love so easily, relationships go through turmoil, and when they overcome it they become stronger. I know that the original couple will stay together, unlike in real life where relationships are easily discarded, in fiction there are still attempts to patch things up, it lets us imagine that reconciliation is possible.

Why do you want him to reconcile with his rapist?

You're referring to volume one, right? Nao forgave him, they gave each other a second chance, since that moment it's been over three years. And why would you bring that up? If that was an issue it would've been the main plot of this volume, but it isn't. It feels like you're going for an attack, so if you're trying to argue you can do it by yourself.

omg, not an attack, just a hope to give you some perspective... which I see now was severely misplaced if you think a person can ever actually forgive someone for raping them.

I think you should read something else, cause to get into this topic of rape in yaoi is something found in most yaoi, and I'm not saying it's alright but authors choose to make it a part of their story.
And trying to give me a new perspective on a topic that doesn't add to what I was talking about so stop it with the omg.
And once more Nao forgave him, and it's not as if Taichi continually does it. I don't know whether or not can forgive one's rapist, but based on this couple's circumstances, they both loved each other, so they can go through counselling, they know each other and no that there is more to them.

In the real life cases I have seen, it always deppends on the people and circumstances. In my city (note I'm not stating this as something that applies for a whole country or race) When the victim is a minor, 0% forgive. When the aggrieved is a young adult/adult and perpetrator is a stranger, 0% forgive; if by a partner/lover, 40% forgive if it was a one time thing (12% if sistematic); if an exlover with no feelings involved on the aggrieved part, 1% (if a one time thing, 0% if sistematic); if the aggrieved has feelings for the perpetrator, 38% (if it happened once, 1-2% if sistematic). Also, there are 2 kinds of violence, one were one part takes all the abuse the other infringes (this one is very dangerous since the aggravied has convinced itself he/she is defenseless letting the abuse become sistematic/repetitive); the other is where both are actively violent towards each other until one loses it and gets fisically abusive (this one is not as dangerous because, since this is a fight of who is right and to win no matter what, the one who ends up aggravied feels in charge of their life and can walk away of the relationship).
What I mean is, both of you are right, there IS people that forgives and people that does not. It doesn't mean that they are wrong or right since we all judge from OUR point of view, ignoring other personal and external factors. Abuse (of any kind) is ALWAYS wrong, it's just that there are circumstances that let the aggravated part forgive rightfully.

Thank you for taking the time to right this, and yes, a lot of things have to be taken into consideration.
