Ubuki is actually a nice boy, was afraid and hesitant (whick is understandable, I don't understand why it might annoy people) but still went back to inherit his grandfather's shop, tried his best using his own money to adapt to the business world, had enough self worth to not stay with a married boyfriend, was prideful enough to not ask said ex for help with his shop (maybe a stupid business move but he ain't business savvy) - before Theo showed him the ways of this world- , is actually good at his art but hadn't had experience with business and marketing.

Theo helped him realise that business cannot be done alone, which was the main point for why his shop failed. He was not an incapable, talentless man, he just didn't know better, while Theo who had the talent to pick up on such important things in a younger age, was the lost piece for Ubuki's shop.

Even Theo has his shortcomings, him hitting that important chef and then basically getting kicked bcs of it was not very business savvy of him. While I get the motivation, having a loved, adored person being accused of something "shameful" is very frustrating, but that one action led to his downfall, boy basically sabotaged his whole career.

They both found something in each other and helped each other. It's actually a really lovely story, and I see them both as equals, no one has the upper hand, neither in the relationship nor in business.

The only thing I won't forgive is Theo's taste in hair cuts... He calls THAT professional? Ubuki looks like a high schooler who got flagged for long hair during morning assembly and got an on the spot hair cut. ┗( T﹏T )┛
