Cirrus is so unlovable

I'm pretty sure he is supposed to be an unlikable and complex character? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm hoping for a major developer on his character. But first he REALLY needs to get away from his family to do any kind of self-reflection

cirrus was a small child who just lost his mother and was struggling with the fact that his father wished he was dead instead of her and gave up on him so quickly. he was desperate to find a parental figure in his life. you can’t blame a child for having emotions like that, especially when it’s obvious he has a mental disorder like bpd. he didn’t have a strong enough heart as a child to take in all the bad things happening to him and not lash out.

not to mention he’s supposed to be a complex and initially unlikable character. you’re not supposed to love him, but you should at the very least try to understand where he was coming from as a child, and understand why he turned out the way he did. he is still living in hell for him, it’s impossible for him to develop as a character until he gets away from his family.

and i can’t speak on the 2nd part because what he did to skylar was definitely messed up and i won’t excuse that.

Clearly and also it's very easy to get really worked up when passive aggressive arguments go out of hand. Both of them are cynical and treat each other the same way. He's the most emotional so he obviously didn't hold back when his anger picked.

oh yeah I completely get that lol since he even admitted he want skylar to stay miserable like them. I just had to get this rant out ever since he SA’d skylar bc it was killing me

Unfortunately I do understand but his actions towards skylar are so irredeemable to me :’’) (he can hurt his family as much as he wants tho hehe) . I can’t wait for Minwoo to show up tbh

same thoughts. yes cirrus is toxic and needs help, but it’s his father that’s all to blame. He was a literal CHILD. Of course he’d be aggressive and push everyone away. Imagine hearing your own father wish your death and in that age? Plus everything that happened after? I’d be more surprised if he wouldn’t turn as problematic as he is right now

Also, he has a bended thinking which again traces back to his traumas. I’m also not surprised that he doesn’t think as normally and as logically as other people do. He needs serious help, but I honestly can’t blame his character. Lastly, knowing how his father acts, I’m pretty sure it’s also in their genes to be that problematic. And he could have not developed his current toxicity, but all the trauma he has gone through triggered it.

Agreed it seems like his father always had repressed anger issues (well not repressed anymore now) . I’ll still blame cirrus’ character for his current actions tho

This exactly this. Around the age when he lost his mom, heard that statement from his dad, lost his nanny and had a first stepmom is the critical age where a child's behaviors are molded. Unfortunately,he got the worst environment for that thanks to his asshole father. Not to mention, his teacher molested him. Gosh its too much for a child,he just wants a hug （/TДT)/

seriously i still love him, and i think he needs a lot of healing from his fucked up childhood. i hope skylar is able to somewhat help him begin to mend his heart. someone once said that it’s baffling how cirrus is still capable of loving people despite all of his trauma, and i think thats so heartbreaking.
