Don't know if you've read it already but there is "Papa Wolf and the Puppy" about two versions of the same adoption story. A wolf who adopts a puppy and a retired(?) yakuza who adopts a child who he finds in his yard with a "it's not like I care about you or anything like that" non-romantic Tsundere aspect to both stories.
