Someone down in the comments explained that it takes time in this omegaverse for the bite to be overridden. When the omega can fully reject the alpha and accept another partner. So they have to be tied up when having sex until the omega's reaction subsides.

Can an Alpha bite be overridden? Can a beta override an Alpha's bite? hopefully an Omegaverse expert can clarify this; otherwise, it would be really fucked up for any Omega to be marked for life by some random Alpha or fucker they don't love. The same as being cursed!
