I don't know if that makes any difference to the meaning of the sentence but anyways
Think she means it literally. Cause he was making fun of how fast she climbed onto his back. And she then goes to say she doesn’t have it in her to walk and her only option is to get help from him. That’s what she means when she says “I have no one to lean on but you” she doesn’t mean it romantically
Yeah, cuz rejecting a man’s confession in an isolated place while you are vulnerable is always a great idea.
I dropped this manga half way. Now I read the final chapter to make sure it's worth me going back to start reading it from the begining of the story.
But she literally says to one man "I have no one but you to lean on" and then asks another man to marry her. Umm.. idk what to think about it
