I think it wasn't explained well or possibly not translated correctly but, here's what I've understood so far:
- MC is Arwyn
- FL is Rietta
- ML is
Nobles will go do charity events or provide "support" to Orphanages in order to look good within the public eye. In some cases, tax benefits can also raise from this. However, some Orphanages are fronts for human trafficking or the slave market. They were at the Orphanage to offer "support" and the ML who was kidnapped and awaiting auction was there. FL saw him, realized it was him and pounced.
The novels FL goes back in time and knows where ML is. So FL tells the family to go pick up their son which just so happens to be the night they pick MC and ML up. They were looking in the area FL said to check.
So now they've unofficially adopted FL and MC.

Yes, I know OG FL is Rietta. It wasn't even mentioned that they were doing a charity event in the orphanage, it was just like poof, they are at the orphanage and FL/MC is surprised to meet the OG ML there. I just don't get it, what was she doing in the orphanage with her mother? For what reason did they go there? Because the fl is so shocked to see the ml in front of her. And how did the ml's parents found the og fl? I know the plot is cliché, but it could have potential if only the plot was presented in a way that the readers can understand.
I think I've read too much Isekai genre that these kinds of plot holes irks me.(〜￣△￣)〜
