Definitely my thoughts. Started reading this back then in 2014, and got hooked up on the characters. Years of waiting for the manga to completely finished. It really hold a special place in my heart though there are some unlikable scenes, but karino and azusa’s personalities and characteristics go well together for me.
Ah this makes me so nostalgic, this was the first ever yaoi I read back when it was first released in 2013. In retrospect it’s kind of a hot mess but it’s an indulgent, interesting hot mess that really is like a time capsule into what BL circa 2013 was like, and really marks an interesting transformation point for the genre. Around that time mangaka started to incorporate more popular tropes into BL where previously they’d just kind of been strictly individualist and very id-serving bc BL started having commercial success. This was definitely riding the Future Diary/Battle Royale wave and ended up being one of the more unique and fucked stories at the time. Though it’s by no means my favorite, or even my favorite of Ogawa Chise works, it holds a special place in my heart and it was nice to finally read the end
