This isn't a dis towards thoes enjoying this. I just want to see if anyone else sees what im seeing or if i missed details that justify her change
She want to impress her mother in law. So she basically does exactly as she says. That’s just my pov though
That's fair. To me it feels like a conflict in previously established traits but i can see what your saying i think
So I'm struggiling to get over how easily she seems to put on a cold demeaner when disrespected. Based off her background so far she doesn't seem to to have a touch personality. She very easily excepts becoming high nobility. Everything shown prior to this first time this happened (with the dress designer) makes these changes feel like they come out of left field.
I read up to chapter 9 and I was shocked when she straight up insults sales person. Now i understand he did insult her for being poor but she straight up says this man has NO SOUL??? she has been shown to be a sweet girl who was kinda recently always berated by her mom. Her family was.nobility until she was born. Thats when their title was stripped away so i imagine she wouldnt know nobility status and how to handle being disrespected liike she was.
Either way I find her character seems to jump between being sweet and trying to be some kind of girlboss baddass that is commonly found in a lot of stories like this. (Doesnt mean its a good thing though). I think the story is following that trope for her.
I do like that the adult parent figure is a mother figure and not a father figure since its not that common so im super conflicted if and how to continue vecause it bothers me everytime. I wanna see the mother in law doting over her daughter in law though.
