lol I never really searched what it actually meant but by the mahwas I saw tagged josei I think it’s a lot of sex scenes
Josei is a genre targeted towards adult women. U might have heard shoujo, which is targeted towards young girls instead. Since josei focused on adult, they might include heavier topic or even some 18+ scenes (But usually would also be tagged as 'smut'). Seeing as this is not tagged as smut, well probably the story is on heavier side than common romance stories...?
