I think the author just wanted to give us some fluff and mainly smut of them together that's why she made them plot like that at the end but I think she definitely would have had it her way and he would have let her if we could have gotten a longer side story.
The blond hair isn’t letting her get her revenge that she truly wants and doing everything for her. The sliver hair on the other helped her side by side and didn’t do everything for her yes I love that he being really kind but he just being too protective and not letter her do anything
