I absolutely loved the vibe of both of them and the stories were also very nice and mostly lighthearted.
For dear gene however, the ending kinda ruined it for me. That reunion was too lovey dovey and rushed for the story and I would’ve been much more satisfied if it ended when they both moved on and would always remember each other, bittersweet is not a bad thing

Girl it made hs feel mellow and feel their love. I feel like the ending when they both have just moved on would've been great too and bittersweet ofc. But just think of it, wouldn't u want the one and only person u felt true love for to be back again. I was much more happier with the real ending cuz imagining all the sweet days and moments they would have again made me cry happily

I get your point but for me, I like this bittersweentess, I don’t mind lovey dovey cliches but for certain stories. For this one, with the very mature vibd it had, I think a bittersweet ending was just the perfect fit. It doesn’t mean that being mature requires a breakup or not living in your lovely fantasy. But for this one, idk, this reunion felt rushed and a little too much, especially when they met the protagonists of rumspringa no joukei.

Oh that's true the ending meeting did ended up a bit rushed. Just ignore the last chapter and think they never met lol
