Honestly, based off of the cover I thought it would be better than that. Like she actually gets to be a scholar rather than trapped up as a saint the entire time.
I also feel like they're pretty bland and have no character depth

New guy(villain) that kidnap her is part of a cult that that is obsessed with the lady of the spirit. She's forced to stay in the castle but somehow she's allowed to go out with the prince (a kid with attitude issue for reasons) in local town....? She help him mature/change etc. Meanwhile Heil(ML) is not around but receive news that the lady his searching for was found. There's a ball where MC is there too but she has a veil hiding her face and ML is there too. They dance and he took her veil off and found out the Lady spirit he's looking for is mc. The other guy (leopard mask) that helped the villain is having second thoughts and feels guilty seeing MC feeling miserable in the castle. It is revealed when he was young he admired the saint a lot too.
Anyway during the ball the villain is not happy seeing MC and ML together. Later villain and MC have a confrontation regarding the truth about the previous Lady Spirits. Apparently there was a toxic cult around her that saw her blood as very precious that should belong to them(they didn't want to share or have it spread I think... Not sure). So when she fell in love and got pregnant they felt betrayed and gave her abortion medicine in secret. She died with her child (not sure if during childbirth). Villain too is part of that cult that don't want to share her blood and said the MC is betraying them like the previous lady spirit was. Before things get dangerous ML and Masked guy storm and save MC. Masked guy changed side basically and dig some digging in the Villain's village and discovered stuff. Before being punished and left by MC(the other guys are getting her to safety), the cornered villain beg her give him her blessing. MC felt sorry and come close to him. It was a fake he tried to kill her the "let's die together" way. He's stopped by Hei(ML) and killed.
They talked to the king (I didn't translate this part bc I'm lazy)... MC is allowed to leave the castle. She returns to village that welcome her at first and ends with ML.
My personal thought about the ending: bland but ok. It's happy but kinda meh. Idk I felt it was rushed but also the poor world building and the majority of characters having no character dept made them feel like random and forgettable npc. Maybe it's just me tho...
