He already formed his relations. Abigail is his friend, Ml is his friend's partner. Why would he think of them as his parents
It's true that verite is an adult but even adults can see other people as there parent figure, especially those who never had one. Plus we don't really know what will happen with their relationship it could go to enemies and it could go to mother child relationship and as you said it could stay as friends, and one of the reasons I see them might having a mother child relationship is cause of him changing his form to a child. I know the reason he changed is cause of ml but who knows? Unless ofc if there's a novel and you already read it.
I'm guessing that verite will get out of the mirror soon, honestly form the interactions with blanche and verite and other stories I've read, it feels like they'll be end game but I honestly hope not since I honestly want them to have a sibling relationship. OK BUT IMAGINE if in the future verite also thinks of Abigail as his mother and calls her mom as well when he gets out of the mirror, since he sees them as family
