There's a reason he's so forceful to yoohan. He's like that because yoohan is extremely suicidal and he just can't afford to lose someone that made him feel some actual emotions just by crying. Jay is unable to feel emotions he's actually a psychopath it's not just a joke between them. And jay really needs yoohan to keep him more human and yoohan needs jay to have a reason to live. If jay didn't force his love onto yoohan then he would have killed himself after his revenge was over. You can read the novel to understand their relationship better but it really makes the reading experience sh*t when you guys talk like that. I'm not excusing his actions by saying this I just mean he actually has reasons to be like that. And tbh I would rather jay be forceful with his affection to yoohan and fall for jay later rather than yoohan killing himself. Their relationship is deeper than just some "bottom in debt" stories that became so popular these days for some reason. After reading the second and third book you will realize they actually love and care for each other more than you think and they're ready to lose everything just to be together.

i do not give a shit what the novel is like, that's not what i'm reading. ml is a piece of shit, they have a terrible and extremely toxic relationship and it's gross. it's not bad to explore toxic relationships in stories sometimes but i hate the ml's horrible personality and i wish they wouldn't end up together and i wish there wasn't so much focus on their romantic relationship. idk what novel mc is like (and i dont care) but this mc doesnt seem very suicidal at all to me. which makes ml being so obsessive and forceful even more disgusting. but even if he was super suicidal so fucking what, ml is still fucking disgusting. imo exploring the benefits of therapy would be a better addition than their horrible relationship.

He was forcing pleasure on him because yoohan didn't want anything that made him feel good because he was extremely GUILTY. He didn't want love or affection or money or literally anything. He just wanted misery and pain and suffering so he could suffer the same way his family did. Yoohan wouldn't accept any soft affection and love so jay forced it on him. He needed a wake up call and somebody to force some oxygen into his lungs and make him feel alive. And he later does want to live or else he wouldn't call jay to make him cry and not be like a numb unfeeling doll that he turned after he read the script of his film that said people like him should also live. He realized he also had the right to live and he couldn't take that much emotion and called jay for help to help him handle them. And jay did help him and made him feel alive and made him happy. He gave him a reason to live and that was jay and his love for acting.

Because you refuse to look deeper into their feelings and judge as a complete outsider that doesn't know what goes through their heads. If you think about it yoohan is also a piece of shit and he can be as bad as everyone else but we still try to understand him because he went through shit like no other. The biggest problem with jay was that he doesn't have emotions and can't understand others. He can ACT like he does but deep down he has the emotional intelligence of a 3 year old. There are many instances where you can see he acts like a spoiled kid because even though he has the mind of an adult his emotions stayed as a toddlers. He doesn't feel remorse for others and doesn't care if someone dies or feels pain other than yoohan because he can only feel and understand yoohans emotions. He didn't even feel anything when his mother died at the same time as yoohans mother(and that means he was an adult at the time). They are both problematic people that neutralize each other and NEED each other to function properly and that definitely can't be solved with a few therapy sessions.

i don't know what goes through their heads bc this isn't the fucking novel. when will you learn the difference between the two different ways of story telling. and nothing that you said about ml is going to change my opinion. them "neutralizing" each other is still a toxic relationship and they still have major issues that need THERAPY. being together will not solve any of their issues, they will still be there. i never said a few therapy sessions anyway, who would expect to solve anything in such little time?
