this. it's crazy how these fathers always neglect their sons (usually cause they think that they're similar to them so they don't need attention and affection and can manage on their own) and then suddenly dote on their daughters. i mean yeah i get that father-daughter interactions are cute but wtf man, this is too much
The brothers probably don't care since its said that ppl from their family don't rlly need human interaction
Yes I was thinking this as well hopefully authors try showing a positive symbol of family, since we don't really get those types in historical manwhas.
In these novels that the FL has brothers, one thing that always bothers me is how cold the father usually is to them, while being all sunshine and rainbows to the FL.
Usually, the brothers quickly fall for FL's quirkiness and ignore father's favoritism because that's how it is and that's how they were raised. The protagonist's halo is so strong that there's not even an ounce of resentment. No matter how mature a child is, having the new kid hog all of your father's (the only living parent, at that) love and attention (that he barely spared you) is justified grounds for resentment.
I want the father to give the boys some tlc too, goddamn
