I get what you're saying and I agree with you in some ways. Actually I'm reading this webtoon because the plot is well written and the story very interesting and also because I can read it illegally and choose to not support the author (I'm going to explain why). Incest etc... does not really bothers me here because this is about Egyptian mythology so it's something kinda legit. But what bothers me and bothers probably other people is that the author is making smut out of rape scenes and that shouldn't be something that needs to be romanticized
People are free to criticize. I just don’t like it when people who have read BL many times are shocked it happens. It’s BL after all. That’s why there are readers, readers are all different and have different views, some will just read without commenting, some will offer different perspectives and opinions. And although I am bothered that the author even made a non-canon rape scene for FANSERVICE, it’s all fiction and plus I’m desensitized to it after spending my time in the yaoi community for years.

Well it’s not something one can control. I mean it’s a choice to read stories like this, some will be affected and some won’t, etc. I personally don’t mind it as long as it’s not romanticized and is fiction.
No one should be. But unfortunately the world isn’t so peaceful to let that be.
But thats why I’m confused if it upsets you so much and is so problematic…why not just stop reading? Surely your morals aren’t overwritten just because of the story. Also the rape is integral to the story, without rape there isn’t a story at all, so it’s part of the plot no matter what. So again I’m confused why the horror at smutty bl with common problematic tropes, if you continue to willingly read it?
It’s fan service because non-con is common fantasy and a prevelant trope. Rape and smut are interconnected in this story, the story doesn’t exist without it. So that’s why I’m confused??
The point is people can still read and still comment how they think about a situation, people say why they don’t just leave but one can choose to read and still express themselves. It’s normal. It’s a problem if someone can’t separate fiction and reality.

That’s a good point. It’s just a problem if people romanticize rape. It’s one thing to have fantasies and another to romanticize such situations Set went through.

The non canon rape scene for fan service actually bothered me a lot even if I know how BL "is" (because I'm sorry but it shouldn't be a normality to asociate BL with rape). Personally I'm really reading Enead because of the plot and I'm aware that it is a BL but romanticizing rape shouldn't be accepted in any ways
I'm aware I continue to reas it despite those facts but this is only, like I said, because I read illegally and so don't support the author. The plot is very good and I'll continue to like it but what I mean is that it isn't the depiction of rape itself that bothers me, but the fact that it's ROMANTICIZED, you can mention rape without romanticizing it but here it is litterally said that it's made for fan service
I guess we have a difference of opinion, because I think it’s ok to fantasise and romanticise taboo things in fiction as long as you don’t in real life. But thank you for replying with your perspective it was very good to discuss and see your point of view :)

Like….this is a story with rape and incest and it’s largely smutty. why write entire essays about how shocking and problematic it is?
