Exactly how much older is she anyway? The author never makes it clear. They say she's a few years older. What, like 4 years? Still doesn't make anything better. Afaik, Jiwoo's age is also never specified but he's still in highschool. Let's assume he's 17 or 18 and she's 4 years older. What business does a 22 year old have with an 18 year old? He's barely an adult. The gap in maturity is so far too that's why i never really saw them as 'lovers'. They seemed like they'd have sis-bro relationship in the beginning. So them suddenly getting lovey dovey is icky, at least to me

She’s not much older. She’s not much older. Kayden stated before that she’s not much older than Jiwoo, and he referred to her as a kid. That’s why Jiwoo is always impressed by her since she’s not much older and is already the most powerful awakened in Korea. I mean, I understand if you don’t like the romance. But in my opinion, I don’t think her being more mature is an issue. She had to grow up faster than the other teenagers since she had to take on the responsibility of the Shinwa Association as chairwoman at a young age. She also had to take responsibility of her younger brother. So, when she’s around Jiwoo, she’s more relaxed and blushes a lot, and she’s very defensive of him, just like Jiwoo is of her. I also mentioned before that Jiwoo had shown his interest in her since the beginning of Manhwa, so I don’t think it was forced. I’m sure if the author decides to make them an official couple, it will be when Jiwoo is much stronger and older. This is what I personally think, so you may disagree, and that’s completely fine.

As I said, it's not that i hate romance. 80% of my library consists of romance stories. it's just that in this story, it's unnecessary.
I get your point. I know they've said a few times that she's not much older but I'm still wondering how exactly old she is. If im going to guess, she's between 21-23 but it doesn't make it better. And i think it matters that she's more mature because it means she has a higher moral ground. Her brain is much more developed than an 18 year old. So, i guess in a way, I'm saying she should know better than to date to an 18 year old
But anyway, i don't hate her. I really like her character, how she's super strong and independent. I just don't like their ship.
To be clear, i don't hate age gap itself. If Jiwoo was introduced as someone who's a litte bit older (like maybe in college, 19 or 20 yrs old), i might like their ship. I guess i just really don't like the fact that he's in highschool and she's someone older and more mature. But i get it. Maybe in the future chapters i might give their ship a chance. What u said really opened my mind so I'd try to keep it as open as possible.

Sorry, I didn’t mean you don’t like romance; it was more like you didn’t like the romance that was happening in the manhwa (just to clarify). But I get what you mean, and all of your points are valid. I guess since I’ve read other manhwa where sometimes the MC is a bit older than their love interest, I never saw much of an issue. Thank you for your response once again!
Bro y do the authors keep on pushing Jiyoung and Jiwoo It's so annoying tho by the end of this they're probably going to be together
