I agree with most things that you said but u disagree with one thing.... Sasya had the opportunity to leave when that madame gave him the ring and said she would help him achieve his dreams, Yet he stayed with someone he doesn't have "feelings for" knowing fully well how Karel felt about him, he brought this upon himself. It was cruel of him to not write a single letter to Karel after Karel took the blame and went to jail for sasya murder.
Let's not act like Sasya is innocent, just as Karel he is just as guilty. He disappeared without a trace and for fame he slept with another man and yet he claims he loved Karel. If he truly loved Karel as he claims his actions would've been different.....
I'm just saying that there's so much we don't know. Why did Sasya stay? Did he actually trust the duchess? Why did he look so out of it at the station? Did he drink? And I know Sasya liked Karel before then started loving him later, and I know he couldn't accept his feelings. Does Sasya remember the murder? Karel did say something about Sasya being confused and that if Sasya hadn't killed the person, he would have also killed the person who got murdered. Why did this happen? Why are such important parts missing from the story? There is just so much missing. I think it's due to the story being poorly written because I went back and reread it, and we have a scene of Sasya being in bed with a noble and rumors about it, but Sasya's inner monologue says that he never slept with anyone. It's confusing, and the storyline is very inconsistent. And yeah, I know that Sasya is on some bullshit, but his character is so inconsistent.
At least there’s someone with some sense in this comment section. That’s literally what I said, we never really got Sasya pov and it seems people are dismissing the fact that Karen literally tried to force sasya to stay with him knowing that he doesn’t love him. He didn’t care how Sasya felt, he only thought about his love for Sasya
also thought the same and I am glad you brought it up. we don't know yes what happened to Sasya during the time he was in prison or at war. maybe he was forced to leave that home. maybe he wrote to Karel and he could't receive the letters, beacuse war time. maybe Sasya was confused because of alcool and depression and can't remember exactly what happened for Karel to go to prison. or Sasya thought that Karel just left for war on his own and abandoned Sasya. there are still events we need to find out from the past. they should just sit down and talk about the time they were apart.
I don't understand the Sasya hate. We have a huge plot hole where, after the train station scene, we didn't get to see what happened, nor did we get the Sasya pov. Everything was explained or seen through the eyes of Julian, and right after that, we only got the point of view of Karel. I mean, are we even sure that Sasya knew what he was doing? I mean, he was an alcoholic, and he was on drugs. I said that in my other comment; apparently they spent years together. All this victim-blaming and shame-shaming disgusts me. Yes, Sasya was with an old man trying to get into a party, but we never actually saw him sleep with anybody, and Sasya said himself that he never sold his body, so why is everybody blocking off pieces and bits of information that we got from Sasya? I hear almost everybody talking about why he is holding on to him and trying to get back together with him. Yall do realize that Sasya didn't develop feelings until they started living together, but when Karel was doing the exact same thing Sasya is doing now at the beginning of the story, y'all wanted to say he should find someone else, but when Sasya does it, it's embarrassing and disgusting. Before that, Sasya had never had the time or the space to think about his feelings for real, and honestly, you can't really blame anyone but Karel himself because he knew that Sasya didn't love him yet forced him to stay in a relationship that he knew Sasya was holding on to to save himself, not because he loved him. And now Karel wants to act brand new when this situation is what he created.
