i would edit this comment if i could- but it turns out i’m staying in the group. i want to keep up the work that i do for this team bc disregarding the owner, i feel like our work is of higher quality and we’re dedicated. again, the team’s efforts do not correlate with a specific member’s actions.
yeah, i hope the best for him too. the people around her are sort of playing it off as something that isn’t very serious when a few of us (staff members) heavily disagree. but at the end of the day it doesn’t have anything to do with our work, which is why we’ve been continuing to work as per usual.
it’s important for people to know imo. i used to be closer to until i confronted her the other day and i don’t regret it one bit. i only interact with her in the server for work related things and i plan on keeping it that way. it’s really strange but a lot of the members almost like… praise her as their queen. at first i played along with it but you could just really tell she’s in constant need of validation and affection. without her fix she’ll think she’s worthless (which isn’t true at all, but her unhealthy fixation especially at her age extremely irks me)
i’m a PR who will be leaving nostalgic scans group soon in a few months because of school but also bc i don’t want to associate with the owner (chevre) for much longer. she’s a 27 year old who’s currently dating someone who’s barely turned 18.
for those who say “it’s legal” yes. it technically is. but the power imbalance based on age in life experience is apparent. she also mainly spends her time talking to minors online and consistently trauma dumps on them.
the team is working hard, but the owner herself is not in her right mind. be mindful when joining the server.
