I agree. I don’t care for bdsm, but when he mentioned sexual torture I was thinking something along those lines, and actually am a bit disappointed it jumped from “torture” to sex. I actually wanted to see some of this “torture” play out before it went to full-on sex.

I am into bdsm I think it’s interesting and also so definitely wanted to see how it was going to play out but then nope just the classic old sa torture.. it really isn’t so hard to ask or research about bdsm so kinda comes off as lazy writing too, idk it’s still the beginning maybe I am too quick to judge hahaha I have a bad habit of doing that when reading

No rape happened but the allusion that it would made the torture part real without the rape part having to actually happen.
On the other hand I have a strong feeling, Doha wouldn't have cared all that much if he had to go though with it to make it real enough for the mission to count as cleared. But hey, he stopped, when the shackle opened. Other authors might have used it as an excuse for the sociopathic ML to go through with it anyway just so there would be a sex (rape) scene. But Doha stopped, which is already more than can be said for a lot of other ML's I could think of if they were put in the same position.
Yes well like I said I tend to judge pretty quickly with bl’s as it’s hard not to with the continuous pattern of rape and abuse, it’s so tiring trying to find a decent story then somewhere they throw in rape as if that spices up the story still think it would’ve been dubcon but l I’ll see where this goes and if no rape then great that’s a win especially since the plot is really interesting
the author definitely set up the situation like that to justify raping the mc, could’ve written it differently and you can’t tell me otherwise! He even said there’s many ways to torture someone sexually and in this case bdsm actually could’ve been used properly e.g. leaving the body wanting more (puts strain on body is a sense of physical torture because your body is craving something more intense (penetration) (continuous climax) whatever else) but this is piss poor effort writing cause my even stated he didn’t want to have sex so it’s rape and even if he gets stimulated and goes through with it it’s dub con - you don’t have to agree with me but I’m not changing my mind on it that’s that
