i get your point, but the scene where dorothy got slapped infront of a whole room of people, and ray did nothing to help her pissed me off very much. she even had to apologize??? i know ray is trying in his own way, but that scene just left a sour taste in my mouth :/ but i like how we finally got to see his thoughts in the new chapters and see them reconcile ^_^ !!
Ray did do something tho. He said that she didn’t do anything and that she was the victim but the FL immediately apologized before he could finish his sentence. You can also notice that the emperor didn’t even listen to him, he truly doesn’t give af.
Ray truly can’t do much since he’s way to young + doesn’t have much power.

Honestly this story lowkey annoyed me bcs of the FL, i completly understand where she’s coming from. Her neglect from her father, the way she had to grow up without love etc is horrible. And her hurting the people around her and the empire because of the trauma is also horrible. Big part of this is bcs of her father. He is the cause of all this shi. but a lot of people forget that she is also responsible of the shi she caused. She killed and hurted a lot of people. The flashback’s horrified me of the way she acted. It’s reasonable but morally completly wrong.
