i think it was because yi ho's pheromones were unstable (he has a pheromone condition since the beginning) and yi rim didn't want to mark yi ho without going to the doctor first
The reason why the baby was rejecting Yi-Rim was because while he was in the hospital, the baby was seeing how anxious his dad was over Yi-Rim. So I think it was a matter of, "oh, this person is the reason why my dad who I spend all my time with is upset, so I should be upset when I see them too".
Yi-Ho only calmed down and accepted Yi-Rim after seeing how his dad (I can't remember how to spell his name ) was happy and comfy around Yi-Rim

It is. Like you can see how much the baby wanted Yi-Rim but the baby was unsure how to act around him as well, mainly bc he didn't have a lot of contact with him after he was born.
I think that's partly why the baby became so attached to Yi-Rim after he stopped rejecting him.
