I’m currently on chapter 58. This is just how I viewed the ML’s actions.
After watching the MC get beaten up and attacked, which he even says could’ve ended worse if he didn’t show up, he decides to get angry at the MC and tajes his anger out on him instead of comforting his lover who had just gone through something very traumatic. He even grabs him and gets physical with him?? I understand him being angry and upset that the MC didn’t tell him about this, but this is not the right time for him to show his anger. He even has the MC begging him not to leave. What’s even worse is that the MC didn’t tell him in fear that his ex would try to ruin the ML’s career, so he didn’t tell him to protect him.
I really hate this trope where the MC goes through something traumatic and the ML gets mad at him and gets physical with him just because the MC didn’t tell him it was happening. He’s just making the trauma worse. There are so many better ways to express your frustration.
Also the ML kinda basically rapes the MC a few times. “I get so turned on when you say no.” Not the exact words but like yeah. Forgot what chapter though. You can withdraw consent at any time. Being in a relationship does not mean you automatically always consent. And the MC is constantly saying “no” and “stop” that the ML just ignores. He even burst into tears once. Also in the car, the ML forcefully flips him over and pulls down his pants?? Despite how clearly uncomfortable the MC is. I ended up just skipping the sex scenes at a certain point because I was still interested in the plot, but now I think I’m going to drop this.
Also it’s the MC’s first sorta healthy relationship after being in horrible relationships his entire life.
If you viewed these scenes differently, that’s fine. This is just how I viewed them.
Words of wisdom these are! I just finished and I wasn't in the mood for writing so much stuff but you said all that was on my mind (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 Can't we just get good yaoi without an animal of a guy that carries his dick as a weapon?
Thanks, i thought i would have to torture myself reading this to point out the clear problems here but someone has already done to, I'll move on thank you
