Completely agree, was very hyped up for development in the first bit of the story and it all just fell off. The art is great and has such good potential but it gets wasted. Midwinter felt very intimidating in the beginning and I was also hoping for something more than “I’m gonna rule the world”… at least it’s still enjoyable
Idk if it's real but it felt so rushed and disorganized after chap 11. No explanation to why the mom got busted, why she lived, how she found MC, how she got sick. There was no explanation to Clive's plans and real goal either. If that one single speech bubble that said ''I'm gonna take over the world'' is the only explanation, I'm sorry but that's the fakest shit I've seen. He was the most sinister and threatening when his motives where unknown.
Imma be real with you chief, nothing got resolved at all. Why did Clive fall for the mom? why did he betray her? why did he kidnap the child after so long? why did Rwanda get a hype boner after meeting the least threatening murderer? why did he talked like MC was going on a shounen adventure where he will fight various quirky characters to be the one true killer or something. The curly hair girl didn't even get a proper conclusion. ''Oh I wonder if she will learn about the murder but feel conflicted because of her parents misdeeds... no? oh okay. Oh I wonder if thief boi will learn about all of this and feel conflicted because he deep down cares about both of these people... no? oh okay..''
It feels like the author had a chain of thoughts that made sense in his mind but when it came to execution, he forgot to write some parts then and there, forgot to explain stuff and just completely scratched the story and ended it without trying to make it work.
