Yes! It depends on how heavy you want it to be and what fits your experience most. Sand was very famous since it was the cheapest option and easy to refill.(⌒▽⌒)
Experienced the same thing on my second week of boxing. A punching bag with wood shavings inside has a sharp one, my dad said he bought it cause the shop says it was corncob. It hurts like hell ╥﹏╥ Anyways pls take some rest mingwa, we love you ヾ(☆▽☆)
