i agree with mostly everything you said, but limited run is definitely not going to be like pearl boy. the author specifically said that this story would have a happy ending and since this is presumably the last season i can’t imagine this story turning in that direction, but of course yeon-oh will continue to go through hardships that will eventually be solved by jaehyuk because he needs his redemption to earn back yeon-oh
Why does the uke never have the means and agency to resolve a situation ?. I know Seme is rich and uke is poor, but c'mon writers, this one is starting to be like pearl boy! That uke cannot have a minute of piece in his life, he'll have his parents dying, be raped several times, be in debt, have to work hard to have minimal living conditions... We know most yaoi can be an analogy to straight relationships and the uke is the woman and the Seme is the man, so the same as I hate the overuse plot device of the woman being saved by the man I hate this too
