Yeah i just feel like student teacher relationships were and still are a serious issue in Japan and this kind of romanticisation in manga only influences people who view this media to trivialise and normalise it. Especially since Japan is a homogenous society, if enough people have that kind of mentality then it'll spread far and wide. They're barely getting rid of it which is why i find it so concerning. Its a good read for sure though, it concerns me the most when people start shipping victim and abuser cause you know how the internet is .

As you said I would say the issue lies with the mentality of the people irl tho, not necessarily with the manga itself (unless the author also thinks these relationship are fine irl) cuz imagine someone has tries to convince me, that a certain dynamic is ok irl and then you turns to fiction- to what- back up their point? "Oh yeah, bullying is totally fine because in manga XY they actually fell in love" like huh?? As you said, they're trying to belittle the problem, which makes no sense to me cuz they're literally comparing those social issues to romance mangas. But then again, I can see how ppl can start trivializing and romanticizing weird dynamics if they're easily impressionable. The many times I've seen teenagers on the internet saying they want to become men because they've read some yaois is baffling.

AGREED. I would rate this a 10 if possible. The plot was not that deep but realistic and the storytelling was so good that I'm gonna take this over some other mainstream bl manga that has either dumb ukes or abusive semes.

Holy shit, I had no idea. Fucking disgusting. Although I enjoy some age gaps, my preference was always when both parts were grown up no matter the genre.
