I don't know. I always thought Ryou was going to be uke. I guess I'm used to seeing sensei's work so I can spot her kind of uke easily.
Ryou has always expressed his emotions, that's why Hayato fell in love with him. Hayato was always sort of "sterile", but Ryou pushed/questioned Hayato and allowed Hayato to break out!
Honestly, I completely disagree with the "puny" statement. Ryou has never been (or will be) puny!
To me, Hayato has always been the seme and Ryou has always been the uke. :)
