I have quite a few that are actually really good interms of storyline and shows you the pov of both the characters. Most of them are fluff tho but its worth the read and are slow burn ones
The best one i have read so far is definitely cherry blossoms after winter, i loved it so much that i have re read it a couple of times.
I will list some of my best reads so far. I believe they aren't exactly like the typical stereotypical ones but also has good storylines and build up
Cherry blossoms after winter (my favourite bl of all time)
Incidentally living togather (explores topics of trauma and finding love, where you see the pov of both the characters)
The best smell ( a really good highschool romance, slice of life bl. Definitely one of the best)
Fools (another amazing slice of life bl about University lovers, one of my best reads omg)
Kiraide isaste ( respectful seme, the type of seme we need in every bl, really good chemistry, its an omegaverse but tw for trauma and rape)
Whose baby is it (it is ongoing but the chemistry between both mc and ml is really good. Alot of view into their family and drama surrounding it)
Semantic error (quite different from the usual fem uke masc seme troupe, its really cute and good)
4 weeks lover ( the uke in this is wild and the seme is just heads over heels for him lol, its cute)
Night maze (pretty good read honestly, its still ongoing but the chemistry between th characters is really nice, also explores abuse topics and trauma )
Dear door (i love this one sm, it has alot of sex but it also has alot to offer interms of storyline and omg the chemistry between the characters is chefs kiss, one of the best fantasy or supernatural bls i have read here, although i would say there is a bit of consent related issues at the start cause its about demons )
Star× fanboy (the chapters are quite short but its a nice read tbh, a story about the relationship between a movie star and his fan, its adorable af, a really good fluffy one)
The baker on the first floor (i love this one sm too, very cute chemistry)
My darling signed in(this one is good towards the end, i kinda hated the whole straight guy ×straight guy bs, the seme is a tsundere whose childish and i hated both the characters especially seme at the start but the art and everything is amazing in this, i really liked it towards the end tho, its not very stereotypical, so ig it was a good read for me)
Deliverence of counterattack (i would say to give this a try, the uke is not like the typical uke, kinda cold but also nice although i dont like some aspects related to him tbh, ml is goofy, it explores heavy topics of trauma and family drama and abuse)

I think its time we create bls where the uke isnt some naive simple guy who gets disgraced by the seme or ml until they fall in love. I see that bl stories often take inspiration from the typical stereotypes of straight relationships where the women or feminine figure is often treated as someone who doesn't know anything, is small, fragile and naive and having to depend on some stupid dominant toxic or cold guy. I just hate this troupe of stories alot. The uke just simply chose to forget traumatic events from the past and forgive the ml cause damn apparently maybe now its a misunderstanding cause he has fallen in love with the seme. But u cannot forget such things especially when they are issues that drove u to the edge of death, he should have asked and questioned him and got it cleared out. And idk how it works but straight men ain't shifting their freaking sexuality just because they find someone attractive. Ur either gay or bi there are no straight guys that likes other guys. Maybe could have gone with pan or something but idk that's not how it really works. Plus the seme was at a freaking gay bar and got mad when he was questioned. I think that explains something about his preferences, cause u don't accidentally walk into gay bars unless ur a dumb fuck. Every freaking bl has straight guys falling in love with each other. You mean them discovering their sexualities? . Idk maybe it woukd have been batter if it was unlabeled too but straight?? i agree with alot of comments. The seme showed no emotions or anything. Maybe an explanation as to how he fell in love or when he started liking him would have been nice. I was expecting something like maybe the seme fell for the uke back when they were in uni and got upset because uke was dating the toxic ass ex. But nope. Ik it was supposed to be a slow burn love story but from where the relationship is at rn it doesn't feel very grounded or secure. They aren't honest with their feelings, never said i love you, always being indirect with their feelings with some stupid lines and metaphors, idk anymore. Like BFFR. Where is the chemistry. Constant arguing is not chemistry. Also just because the seme is higher up and dominant doesn't mean he has to win or should always be right. That's now how real life works. Atleast show us the semes pov and his breakdowns and frustrations. We only hear 2nd or 3rd person povs when it comes to his emotions like Jaehwan saying hes angry. We never see him express sadness or whatsoever. I don't think being a seme means u need to be cold all the time and show no emotions. This is something that should be applied to alot of bl stories.. Its not weak to show ur weakness or to cry or break down. I find it really attractive when guys are able to express their emotions well without always bring cold or having some sort of superiority complex. Its like i dont care but i still want you. There are people with avoidant attachment styles but not every single story has to be that tbh. A relationship should always have effort from both sides. It was weird when he kept inviting the uke to places at specific times but not showing up and then telling him something else when he calls. That's kind of devaluing, to him as a person and also his time. And he be disappearing with no explanations to random places, maybe atleast let him explain where he is going or something. He didn't seem like he cared or he gave a fuck unless he was horny at the office or something. Idk i felt sm 2nd hand embarrassment throughout the storyline for the mc. The story could have been done better honestly. It was very rushed and u can't do that when discussing about mental traumas and deep shit.
